Dr. Bee was founded by Dr. Ron Lin, who holds a PhD in Apiology (Bee Science) from Simon Fraser University (SFU). Built on over 30 years of global beekeeping experience, our family-owned business combines rigorous science with a deep respect for the hive. Led today by CEO Richard Lin, we never pasteurise or ultra-filter our honey. We are relentless in upholding operational integrity in all that we do. From the beekeeping at the source to product research to product formulation and production, we employ the strictest standards at all stages of the process. We use reputable third-party testing and uphold strict Kosher standards for verified purity. Supported by our commitment to 1% for the Planet, we hold ourselves to a benchmark that not all brands can claim. 

Our bees forage in the vast, pristine wildflower fields and untouched wilderness of Western Canada, specifically northern Alberta and clean areas fed by Rocky Mountain glacial waters. We also harvest a limited, premium small-batch of honey directly from our own hives at our family farm in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. Sourcing from these isolated, clean ecosystems guarantees our raw ingredients are inherently cleaner, more potent, and free from heavy agricultural chemicals and industrial pollution.

To ensure absolute transparency, our signature Ice Honey™ undergoes comprehensive independent third-party laboratory testing by Intertek, screening for honey adulteration and over 300 different pesticides, herbicides, and chemical antibiotics. Additionally, Dr. Bee honey and hive products are officially certified Kosher.

• Infant Safety: Like all genuine raw honey, Dr. Bee products should never be fed to infants under one year of age. Infants' digestive systems and gut microbes are still developing and are not yet mature enough to safely process the natural spores occasionally found in raw honey.

The taste and texture profiles vary across our product range depending on the natural crystallization tendencies of different floral nectars and the structure of our infused blends. For our pure honey varieties, the flavor reflects the wild, unpolluted Canadian meadows where our bees forage. However, our signature Ice Honey™ is celebrated for its exceptionally delicate sweetness, subtle floral undertones, and a uniquely smooth, velvety, and creamy texture. Because it is completely raw and unpasteurised, it is entirely free of the burnt, one-dimensional sugar taste common in highly heated commercial brands.

Crystallisation is a natural hallmark of true, raw, high-quality honey! Over time, the glucose spontaneously separates from the water and forms fine white crystals. This is not a sign of spoilage or added sugar—it is definitive proof that your honey is 100% raw, unpasteurised, and full of natural pollen. If your honey becomes too solid for your preference, simply place the glass jar in a warm water bath and stir gently.

Avoid boiling water or microwaving, as excessive heat destroys the beneficial live enzymes.

Store your honey in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight with the lid tightly sealed. Honey doesn't expire, but proper storage maintains its distinct flavour and velvety texture.

We offer free regular shipping to our Canadian customers on orders over $79. For orders below these amounts, there is a flat rate of $11.99 for BC and $15.99 for the rest of Canada.

To ensure safe and efficient delivery, orders exceeding 17.6 lb (8 kg) or $400 CAD may require custom shipping arrangements. Please contact our Sales Team directly for assistance with larger-volume orders.

We aim to package and ship your order within 1 to 3 business days, at which point you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. We ship using Canada Post, offering options ranging from Regular Delivery (2–9 days) to Priority Delivery (Next day in major urban centres).
