What started as a small, family-run local honey bee farm with only 16 bee hives has grown into an industry-leading 173-acre operation with thousands of hives over the last 30 years.
Founded in 1996 by Dr. Ron Lin (PhD Bee Science, SFU), our products are created by a team who understands bees better than anyone and what their hive treasures can do for human health.
Ron experienced the true potential of honey bee products when his mother-in-law was recovering from surgery. He produced honey, bee propolis, and royal jelly as a supportive recovery treatment, and after including it in her diet, her health improved dramatically.
To this day, Ron's unwavering passion and commitment to innovation serve as the driving force behind the brand, crafting premium, all-natural honey bee products that promote health and happiness in everyone's life.
The Next Chapter
Richard Lin grew up around the hives, checking on them as a kid long before he ever expected to run the company.
In 2025, he took the helm as CEO, picking up where his father left off. The mission hasn't changed — natural, rigorous, and effective, from hive to shelf. As Richard puts it: “We have always wanted to do something different, something better... here’s to the next chapter of health and happiness from the hive.”

In 2008, Agriculture Canada extended a prestigious invitation to Dr. Bee to participate in an international trade mission that showcased the finest agricultural products in Canada. Dr. Bee was recognized on a national scale for their high quality products and contributions to the industry.
Dr. Bee's signature product, Ice Honey, has earned global acclaim for its exceptional quality. At the 2019 International Apicultural Congress, Apimondia, the honey won a world beekeeping award, placing it among the top selection of the finest honeys in the world. Dr. Bee's Ice Honey is also a 3 time winner of the Gold Award at the London Honey Quality Awards.
